TikTok Shop Fee Calculator (2026): What You Actually Take Home Per Order

Updated June 2026 · independent guide, not affiliated with TikTok
To calculate your real TikTok Shop take-home in 2026, subtract the referral fee (about 6% US, 9% UK/EU, 1-10% banded in Indonesia), the ~2% transaction fee, any affiliate commission, and seller discounts from the order price. On a refunded order you also lose the refund administration fee (20% of the referral fee, capped $5/SKU). After these deductions a typical seller nets roughly two-thirds of GMV, and the bank payout can be lower still if TikTok holds part in a reserve. The quick formula: how to calculate TikTok Shop fees in 2026

A TikTok Shop fee calculator for 2026 only needs one formula. For a normal, non-refunded order:

Take-home = Order price − Referral fee − Transaction fee − Affiliate commission − Seller-funded discounts − Shipping you cover

Plug in the 2026 percentages and you can do it by hand:

Worked example, a $30 US order with a 10% affiliate rate: referral 6% = $1.80, transaction 2% = $0.60, affiliate 10% = $3.00. Take-home = $30 − $5.40 = $24.60, or about 82% of the sale on this single line. Across a full month, after discounts, shipping and the odd refund, most sellers land near two-thirds of GMV. For the why-behind-the-numbers, see our guide on why TikTok Shop pays you less than your earnings, which has the same math in a live, interactive calculator.

Each TikTok Shop fee, explained for your calculation

To get an accurate number, you need to know exactly what each deduction is and what it is charged on. Here is every fee that touches a 2026 order, in plain terms — and we cover all of them in depth in TikTok Shop seller fees explained.

Referral (commission) fee

TikTok's core cut, charged on the buyer-paid amount plus any platform discount, minus tax. This is the single biggest line for most sellers and the one that varies most by region and category.

Transaction fee (~2%)

A flat payment-processing charge of roughly 2% of the order value. Predictable and easy to model.

Affiliate & creator commission

Only applies when a creator's content or link drove the sale. You set the rate, so it is fully in your control — but forgetting to include it is the most common reason a hand-calculated margin looks too rosy.

Refund administration fee (20%, capped $5/SKU)

This one only appears on refunds: TikTok keeps a fee equal to 20% of the original referral fee, capped at $5 per SKU. It is meant for completed, post-shipment refunds only — not pre-ship cancellations or creator samples. We break down exactly when it is and isn't valid in the TikTok Shop refund administration fee guide.

Seller discounts, vouchers and shipping

Any discount or shipping cost you fund reduces your settlement. Watch the discount base carefully — it can be double-counted against the fee base if you are not careful.

2026 fee rates by region

Referral percentages changed in early 2026, so a 2024 calculator will give you the wrong answer. Current published rates:

RegionReferral feeTransaction feeRefund admin fee
United States6% (5% jewelry)~2%20% of referral, max $5/SKU
United Kingdom9% (5% Electronics/Beauty)~2%20% of referral, max $5/SKU
EU (DE/FR/ES/IT/IE)9% (raised from 5% on Jan 8, 2026)~2%20% of referral

These rates change periodically — always verify against your own fee schedule in Seller Center before relying on a number. For country deep-dives, see TikTok Shop seller fees in the UK for 2026 and the Indonesian breakdown in biaya TikTok Shop seller 2026.

Refunded orders: where the calculator gets tricky

The maths flips on a refund. The sale reverses, so you don't keep the order price — but you do still lose the refund administration fee (20% of the referral fee, capped $5). On a $30 US order, that fee is min($1.80 × 20%, $5) = $0.36. A high-priced item with a large referral fee hits the $5 cap. If you see a refund admin fee above the cap, charged on a pre-ship cancellation, or charged while the referral fee was never credited back, that is a genuine rule deviation worth disputing.

Stacked refunds and fees are also the most common cause of a settlement going below zero. If your statement total is negative, our guide on how to fix a negative settlement on TikTok Shop walks through the likely culprits line by line.

Settlement amount is not your bank payout

Here is the gap a fee calculator alone can't close: even after every deduction, your settlement amount is not the money that lands in your bank. Your payout = settlement ± a reserve that TikTok temporarily holds or releases, shown on the Reserve Details sheet for transactions after September 25, 2025. A held reserve is the number-one reason your calculated take-home and your actual deposit don't match.

If your deposit is missing entirely or smaller than the settlement, the cause is usually a hold rather than a fee — see why is my TikTok Shop payout on hold. To check the full month rather than one order, you'll want your settlement export.

From one order to your whole month: use the live tools

This page does the per-order maths. To do it at scale, two free tools take over:

New to reading the export? Start with how to reconcile your TikTok Shop settlement report, which maps every column (Total settlement amount, Net sales, Referral fee, Refund administration fee, Adjustment amount, Type, Order/adjustment ID) to what it actually means.

One honest note: most of the gap between your GMV and your payout is by design — fees working as written, not theft. The point of calculating it is to understand your margin and to catch the small number of charges that genuinely break the rules.

How do I calculate my real TikTok Shop take-home in 2026?

Subtract the referral fee (about 6% US, 9% UK/EU, 1-10% banded in Indonesia), the ~2% transaction fee, any affiliate commission, and seller-funded discounts and shipping from the order price. For example, a $30 US order with a 10% affiliate rate nets about $24.60 before discounts. Across a full month most sellers keep roughly two-thirds of GMV.

What fees does a 2026 TikTok Shop fee calculator need to include?

Five: the referral/commission fee (region- and category-specific), the ~2% transaction fee, affiliate commission if a creator drove the sale, seller-funded discounts and shipping, and — on refunds only — the 20% refund administration fee capped at $5 per SKU.

Does the calculator change for a refunded order?

Yes. The sale reverses so you don't keep the order price, but you still lose the refund administration fee of 20% of the original referral fee (capped $5/SKU). On a $30 US order that's $0.36; high-priced items hit the $5 cap.

Why doesn't my calculated take-home match my bank deposit?

Because settlement amount is not the same as payout. Your bank deposit equals settlement plus or minus a reserve TikTok temporarily holds or releases, shown on the Reserve Details sheet for transactions after September 25, 2025. A held reserve is the most common reason the numbers differ.
